A Doctor of Ministry, or DMin, is a terminal doctoral degree designed to provide practical ministry training for pastors and other ministry professionals. DI’s Doctor of Ministry degree (DMin) offers many different specializations to choose from – but the core of every DMin degree focuses on providing advanced ministry practice, theology, and biblical studies training.
DI’s Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program was created to advance and sharpen your ministry skills by providing you with a deeper understanding of biblical principles and strategies so that you can serve in a variety of ministerial roles.
You will have the privilege of interacting with an array of theologians and well-known church leaders and increase your understanding of the purpose and goals of ministry through our Doctor of Ministry program.

Your DMin degree is approved by GTEC and has met rigorous accreditation standards, so you can feel confident that your degree is both academically excellent and well-respected internationally.
Our Doctor of Ministry degree offers an in-depth study of spiritual formation and ministry in your core classes, so you can better understand the advanced material in your specific area of study.
Our DMin core classes were specifically chosen to help you gain the essential knowledge and skills needed for your final project. The first year of your doctoral degree will be made up of core courses and specialization courses, and the other the rest of your program (2-3 years) will include the process for completing your thesis.
This program was designed to help you gain the theological foundation needed to meet the challenges and opportunities facing ministry leaders today with clarity and confidence.
We offer both 8-week and full-semester sub-terms each semester. While many online courses can be taken in the 8-week format, some programs require courses that must be taken in the full-semester term. Some courses may require additional information prior to registration.
In addition to these formats, some courses may be required to be taken in intensive or alternative formats, which may include scheduled meeting times, travel to campus, or required login sessions.
